Met de app kun je naamgeving oefenen voor organische chemie.
Naamgeving in de organische chemie lijkt moeilijk, maar is gewoon goed te leren.
Zoals alles bij scheikunde: je leert door te oefenen.
Deze app geeft je de mogelijkheid om te oefenen met de naamgeving wanneer jij dat wilt: als je wacht op de bus, in de pauze op school of als je je verveelt.
Hoe werkt het?
Je krijgt een overzicht van soorten verbindingen waarin je getoetst wilt worden, zoals vertakte koolwaterstoffen, esters, alcoholen, ketonen, amines enzovoort.
Als je een verbindingstype kiest, krijg je vijf structuren te zien uit een veel grotere database met structuurformules.
Typ de naam in van de verbinding en controleer de naam door op 'controle' te klikken.
Je moet opletten en geen spelfouten maken.
Let ook op '-' (streepjes) tussen getallen en letters en ',' (komma's) tussen getallen. Tussen letters staan geen spaties.
Als je je antwoord naar tevredenheid hebt ingevuld en gecontroleerd, ga dan verder met een nieuwe verbinding.
Per verbinding kun je vragen om een hint via de knop 'hint'.
Als dat niet voldoende is, kun je de verbindingsnaam spieken via 'spiek'.
De app houdt bij met een percentage hoeveel antwoorden je goed hebt per verbindingstype.
Je kunt kiezen voor de oude of nieuwe IUPAC naamgeving. Voor leerlingen die in 2016 (2015 havo) eindexamen doen, worden daarin getoetst met de nieuwe naamgeving.
In het hoofdscherm van de app, waarnaar je altijd kunt terugkeren, kun je ook kiezen voor een uitleg over de naamgeving in het algemeen. Dit kan zeer verhelderend

Je kunt altijd de app verlaten. Hij onthoudt wat je scores waren voor een volgende keer.
